In accordance with the goals of SDG 4: "Quality Education" and SDG 8: "Decent Work and Economic Growth", The Department of Economics of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held a republican essay contest among students at Kazakhstani universities from May 10 to July 15, 2025, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Academician Ya.A. Aubakirov, an outstanding economist of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The purpose of the contest was to preserve the scientific heritage and develop scientific ideas of Ya.A. Aubakirov, and the topic of the essay contest was "The formation and development of the theory of national economy: the contribution of Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ya.A.Aubakirov."
59 student and master's papers were submitted to the Republican Essay Contest. Students and undergraduates of higher educational institutions of the Republic participated in the competition, and in particular, students were from universities in Almaty, Astana, Shymkent, Semey, Oskemen, Atyrau, Taldykorgan, and other regions. According to the results of the republican Essay contest, the winners were determined and will be awarded with personal diplomas of I, II, III degrees and cash prizes (I place – 300 thousand tenge; II place – 200 thousand tenge; III place - 100 thousand tenge), and Certificates of participation in the competition will be issued to the remaining participants of the competition and Commendations will be presented to the heads. letters.
