The possibilities of joint projects are considered

The delegation of the Institute of Strategy for the Development of Science and Technology of the Xinjiang People's Republic of China paid an official visit to the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The honorary guests were received by Margulan Ibraimov, Member of the Board, Vice–Rector for Research and Innovation.

Opening the event, the Vice-rector emphasized that al-Farabi Kazakh National University actively cooperates with 83 universities in China. In 2023, a branch of the Northwestern Polytechnic University (NWPU) was opened and successfully operates at the university China, as well as the China-Kazakhstan Joint Laboratory for Remote Sensing Technologies and their Applications, the International China-Kazakhstan Scientific Laboratory for Energy-intensive Nanotechnology and the Laboratory for Communication Technologies 5G/5.5G. Margulan Kasenovich concluded his speech by emphasizing that cooperation with the Institute of Strategy for the Development of Science and Technology of the Xinjiang People's Republic of China has great potential, and the university is open to promising initiatives and the implementation of new joint projects.

Chen Lin, Deputy Director of the Institute of Strategy for the Development of Science and Technology of the XUAR of the People's Republic of China, spoke on the part of the delegation, describing the goals and directions of the institute: "The Institute conducts research in the field of strategic planning for the development of science and technology, innovation policy, reform of the science and technology system, and building regional innovation systems.

Considerable attention is paid to the role of science and technology in the socio-economic development of Xinjiang. We are actively participating in the Belt and Road initiative, expanding horizons for the exchange of knowledge and experience."

Following the discussion, the parties outlined the prospects for cooperation in the framework of academic and research projects, including student and teacher exchanges. During the meeting, the participants discussed issues of coordination of scientific and technical research, data exchange and implementation of innovative solutions.
