Collaboration with Singapore scientists

Erkin Duisenov, Deputy Chairman of the Board and First Vice–Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, met with Andy Hoar, Deputy Director General for Scientific Work at the Agency for Science, Technology and Research in Singapore.

The sides exchanged views on strengthening cooperation in the field of science and higher education.

Erkin Duisenov presented the scientific infrastructure of KazNU to the honored guests. "Singapore is a country that demonstrates a leading example of innovation policy and scientific research. In this context, an important step is to establish partnerships with the Agency for Science, Technology and Research",- said the Vice–rector.

In turn, Andy Hoar informed about the main scientific directions and research infrastructure of the agency and expressed interest in partnership with KazNU as one of the leading universities in the Central Asian region.

Following the meeting, the parties exchanged specific proposals in a number of areas: the implementation of joint scientific projects, holding joint forums and conferences.
