The Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the School of Hotel and Tourism Management (SHTM) at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) open a new chapter of academic partnership.
Within the PolyU–KazNU Centre for Sustainable Development in Central Asia, we launch an online series of guest lectures by SHTM scholar-educators. The lectures spotlight forward-looking ideas and practice across tourism – from regenerative and socially sustainable approaches to gastronomy, ecotourism, and big-data analytics of tourist mobility.
PolyU SHTM ranks among the world’s best: World No. 1 in ShanghaiRanking’s GRAS 2024 (Hospitality & Tourism Management) and No. 2 worldwide among university-based programmes in QS Subject 2025 (Hospitality & Leisure Management).
We invite students, graduate researchers, faculty, and industry partners. Join us!
