Leadership Lecture by Full Professor Wojciech Kujawski: A Perspective on Science and the Path of a Young Researcher. SDG 4
On September 24, 2025, at 3:00 PM, a leadership lecture by Professor Wojciech Kujawski (Nicolaus Copernicus University, Toruń, Poland) took place, dedicated to the topic “How is the science run? – opportunities, challenges and threats at the early stage of the academic career.”
In the format of an open conversation, Professor Kujawski shared his perspective on the path of a young researcher and addressed a key question: “Is pursuing a PhD an exciting stage of life?”
He emphasized that every achievement is always backed by the experience of mistakes and overcoming difficulties. As the professor noted, “behind every success is a series of failures”—this is precisely how resilience and maturity of a future scientist are formed.
The lecture provided the audience with an opportunity not only to hear advice from an experienced researcher in the field of physical chemistry, membrane chemistry, and separation processes, but also to discuss common challenges and prospects of an academic career.
The event was organized by Assoc. Prof. K.M. Turekhanova of the Department of Plasma Physics, Nanotechnology and Computer Physics
