KazNU has opened an updated TV studio named after Professor M.Barmankulov

The ceremonial opening of the renovated television studio named after Professor Marat Barmankulov took place at the Faculty of Journalism of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

 

The event was attended by the university's leadership, renowned scientists, leading journalists of the country, representatives of the media industry, teachers, students, as well as family members of the professor.

Member of the Board of KazNU, Acting Vice–Rector for Social Development Bakhytzhan Omarov delivered a welcoming speech. He noted that the opening of the renovated TV studio symbolizes the progressive development of the university and the introduction of innovative approaches into the educational process. "The new studio is not just a technical base, but a creative space where modern media formats, ideas and professional staff are born. Here, students will be able to implement their own projects, gain practical experience in television work and feel like a part of a large media sphere",- Bakhytzhan Omarov emphasized.

In turn, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Journalism Kanat Auesbai recalled that in 2009 the faculty's television and radio laboratory was named after Professor M. Barmankulov. He stressed that the renovated TV studio will become a modern educational space where future journalists will be able not only to gain theoretical knowledge, but also to improve practical skills, mastering the professional standards of the modern media sphere.

Doctor of Philology, Professor Namazaly Omashev, President of the Academy of Journalists of Kazakhstan, Professor Sagimbai Kozybayev, Professor Bayan Barmankulova and producer Alua Barmankulova made speeches during the event. They expressed gratitude to the university for preserving the name of the famous scientist and teacher, emphasizing the importance of the continuity of his ideas in the development of Russian journalism.

The participants got acquainted with the technical and creative capabilities of the renovated TV studio, watched a special video about its work, as well as student video projects created as part of the educational process.

At the end of the ceremony, letters of thanks were awarded to patrons and partners who supported the modernization of the TV studio.
