KazNU Students Participated in a Legal Dialogue with the French Ambassador for Human Rights. UN SDG 17
On October 8, 2025, the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Criminology of the Faculty of Law at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, along with students of the “Law Enforcement” and “Jurisprudence” programs, took part in a legal dialogue organized by the Commission on Human Rights under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in cooperation with the Embassy of France in Kazakhstan.

The event was held at the Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute and was moderated by the Chairman of the Commission on Human Rights under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Igor Rogov.
The keynote speaker of the dialogue was Ms. Isabelle Rome, Ambassador for Human Rights of the French Republic, who shared France’s experience in the field of human rights protection, gender equality, and addressed current challenges in international law.

Students of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University showed great interest in the topic, actively participated in the discussion, and asked questions in French and English, demonstrating a high level of linguistic competence and engagement in international legal issues.

The participation of KazNU’s students and faculty reflects the university’s commitment to the implementation of UN Sustainable Development Goal No. 17 – “Partnerships for the Goals”, aimed at strengthening international cooperation, promoting legal culture, and enhancing academic exchange.
