The rector received the scientists of Turkology

Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev received a group of Turkologists.

The meeting was attended by Associate Professor of Mugla Sytky Kochman University (Turkiye), Doctor of Philology Kenan Koc, Professor of the Turkish Academy of Sciences Anar Turgay, as well as professors of the L.N. Gumilyov ENU Magripa Eskeyeva and Gulgaisha Sagidolda.

The parties discussed the development of Turkological science, the implementation of joint research projects and the preparation of joint book publications.

During the meeting, Zhanseit Tuimebayev presented to the guests the results of the work carried out at the university in the field of Turkic studies. He noted that the Scientific Research Institute of Turkology and Altaic Studies, which implements large-scale projects, is successfully operating at KazNU. The Rector stressed the importance of further strengthening scientific and educational cooperation between universities and scientific institutes of Kazakhstan and Turkiye.

In turn, Turkish scientists supported the proposals voiced during the meeting, noting the high potential and capabilities of the scientific centers of both countries for the implementation of joint initiatives.

In conclusion, the parties agreed to hold joint scientific seminars, international symposiums and conferences in the near future.
