Dialogue of Generations: Professor V. E. Messerle Meets with Doctoral Students

On the eve of the International Day of Older Persons and the Day of Higher Education Workers, the Department of Thermal Physics and Technical Physics hosted a meeting with Honored Lecturer of the Department, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Vladimir E. Messerle.

Professor Messerle shared his extensive professional and life experience, discussing current trends in energy development, nuclear power, the role of coal in global energy, and the prospects of plasma technologies. His reflections on how innovation and sustainable approaches can make energy systems cleaner and safer drew significant interest.

Participants actively debated issues of rational fuel use, energy efficiency, and environmental safety. At the close of the meeting, doctoral students expressed their gratitude to the professor; on behalf of the Faculty and the Department, Professor Messerle was presented with a Letter of Appreciation.

Professor V. E. Messerle is a world-renowned scientist, author of more than 500 scientific publications, 15 monographs, and numerous patents. He has supervised 15 PhD and doctoral researchers and is an active member of the International Energy Academy and the International Academy of Informatization.

For students, the meeting served as a reminder that science is not only about research and formulas but also about intergenerational continuity, meaningful dialogue, and inspiration born from mentorship.
