The Higher School of Economics and Business of Al-Farabi KazNU Celebrated the Day of Higher Education Workers of the Republic of Kazakhstan

On October 1, 2025, the Higher School of Economics and Business of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held a solemn event and a round table dedicated to the Day of Higher Education Workers of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The celebration brought together the faculty, students, alumni, and honorary guests of the school. The purpose of the event was to honor the outstanding contribution of teachers to the development of national science and education, as well as to strengthen academic traditions and generational continuity.

The event was moderated by Deputy Dean for Academic and Educational Work D.A. Sadykhanova, who emphasized the special role of teachers as carriers of knowledge, culture, and moral values.

During the round table, participants discussed the history and development of the Higher School of Economics and Business, the key stages of its formation, and its contribution to the development of Kazakhstan’s economic education. Former deans of the faculty shared their memories, underlining the importance of preserving the university’s scientific mission and continuously improving the educational process.

Distinguished professors — E.B. Zhatkanbaev, O.K. Shedyenov, M.S. Tulegenova, B.M. Mukhammediyev, and M.B. Baydauletov — delivered inspiring speeches highlighting their long-standing contribution to the advancement of economic science and the training of highly qualified specialists.

An exhibition of scientific works and achievements of the faculty’s scholars was organized in the foyer, featuring monographs, textbooks, teaching materials, and publications that reflect the school’s strong academic and research potential.

Students expressed their gratitude to the teaching staff through a festive concert program, performing musical and poetic compositions.

In her closing remarks, Dean of the Higher School of Economics and Business, Dr. Zh.Zh. Yermekova, expressed heartfelt appreciation to the faculty for their professionalism, dedication, and contribution to the development of the university:

“The Higher School of Economics and Business is a community of like-minded people united by their passion for science and education. We are proud of our generations of teachers who shape the intellectual future of our country,” noted Dr. Yermekova.

The event was held in a warm and inspiring atmosphere, symbolizing respect for the teaching profession and the unity of the university community.
