KazNU held negotiations on holding an international scientific conference

Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev held a meeting with Nikolai Ovsienko, Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, and Alexander Vasiliev, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Head of the Oriental History Department at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

First, the guests visited the KazNU Museum, where they received comprehensive information about the history of the university's formation and stages of development. The latest achievements of the university were presented, and high scores in international rankings were presented.

The honorary guests were met by Rector Zhanseit Tuimebayev and held talks. The parties exchanged views on the development of cooperation between KazNU and Russian universities.

Later, Nikolay Ovsienko and Alexander Vasiliev got acquainted with the activities of the Farabi Supercomputer Center at the university. Here, the center's specialists explained in detail the applications of the supercomputer in modern scientific research, in particular, in the processes of processing, modeling and computing big data. It was noted that the activities of this center contribute to increasing the scientific potential of the university, as well as strengthening its authority in the international scientific community.

During their working trip to KazNU, Nikolai Ovsienko and Alexander Vasiliev also visited the Farabi Library. Here they got acquainted with the library's collection, including rare historical and scientific publications.
