KazNU and universities of China jointly train qualified specialists

Erkin Duisenov, Deputy Chairman of the Board and First Vice–Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, held a meeting with a delegation of the Standing Committee of the People's Assembly of the Putou District of Shanghai (China) headed by Deputy Chairman Yao Jun.

Speaking to the guests, the First Vice-Rector of KazNU stressed the strategic importance of deepening academic partnership with higher education institutions and scientific organizations in China. Having informed the honored guests about the activities of the research university, cooperation with universities of the People's Republic of China and joint laboratories, Yerkin Ermanovich stressed that KazNU has long-standing partnerships with the Shanghai University of Politics and Law. The first vice-rector had the honor to lecture at this university, and academic exchange of teachers and students is ongoing with this university.

Yao Jun, Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee of the People's Assembly of the Putuo District of Shanghai, thanked for the warm welcome, highly appreciating the infrastructure and scientific potential of KazNU, especially in the field of information technology and the development of artificial intelligence. Ms. Jun also expressed hope for strengthening ties in the areas of training highly qualified specialists for Chinese companies operating in Kazakhstan.

Following the meeting, the parties discussed areas of cooperation in the field of personnel training, exchange of experience and implementation of joint projects in the field of education and science.
