«The everyday culture of the Kazakh people: ethnographic data and historical continuity»

The main speaker of the event, organized on October 21, 2025, is Professor of Nur-Mubarak University, Candidate of Historical Sciences, ethnographer Dosymbek Katranovich, a well-known specialist in the study of everyday culture and ethnographic data of the Kazakh people. Dosymbek Katranovich has been known in recent years as the author of scientific papers and lectures on the topics of the Kazakh yurt, traditions, national products, and national cuisine.

      The main purpose of the meeting is the promotion of historical and ethnographic knowledge among young people, the study of the traditional cultural heritage of the Kazakh people in combination with the requirements of modernity and the formation of a patriotic spirit.

During the event, Dosymbek Katranovich gave a meaningful lecture on the concept of space in the traditional way of life of the Kazakh people, the ritual and educational significance of craft.

He identified the place of ethnographic education in modern curricula and noted that "the preservation of spiritual heritage is the basis of national security."
