KazNU young scientist became the winner of an international competition

Senior lecturer at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, PhD Anar Omarova became the winner of the "Steppe Awards – 2025" award, organized by the multi-platform media "The Steppe". The young researcher won in the nomination "A new name in science".

Anar Omarova submitted to the competition a scientific project entitled "Study of the physico-chemical properties and biological activity of PM2.5 in the air of Almaty: an integrated approach to environmental risk assessment".

Anar Sagidullakizi works as a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of KazNU, as well as a leading scientist at the Center for Physico-Chemical Research and Analysis Methods. Since 2019, she has been conducting research in the field of analytical chemistry and environmental monitoring. Her main research activity is the development of materials and methods for the determination of pollutants in the environment, as well as the study of atmospheric quality and sources of air pollution. Anar Omarova has more than 20 scientific publications, including in Q1–Q3 journals. She has completed research internships in Canada, Finland, Italy and France. In 2022, she was awarded the title of "The Best Young Scientist of KazNU", and in 2024 she became the owner of the state scientific scholarship for talented young scientists.

It should be noted that the "Steppe Awards" is one of the international awards aimed at identifying new names and recognizing achievements in the field of science and creative industries.
