Scientists of the Faculty of Information Technology Developed “Zhurek AI” Platform for Early Detection of Cardiovascular Diseases
Scientists of the Faculty of Information Technology have developed an innovative artificial intelligence platform called “Zhurek AI”, which enables early detection of cardiovascular disease risks.
Based on AI technologies, the system analyzes a person’s cardiovascular data and automatically assesses potential health risks. It also helps medical professionals by streamlining the diagnostic process and improving accuracy.
Users can upload their blood test results in PDF format and fill out a short questionnaire. The system processes the information quickly and provides a risk assessment. If a serious health risk is detected, the user is advised to consult a doctor.
“Zhurek AI” operates on complex algorithms built upon deep neural networks (DNNs) and large-margin support vector machines (SVMs), ensuring high diagnostic precision.
According to Asiya Baltabayeva, a researcher at the AI and Internet of Things Laboratory, the main advantages of the platform are speed and accuracy. “It is trained on thousands of real medical datasets, allowing it to identify subtle abnormalities that may go unnoticed even by doctors,” she said.
The project is supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. A team of 15 scientists from the Faculty of Information Technology at KazNU contributed to the development. In the future, the system is expected to be fully implemented and commercialized.
