Investments to Be Attracted for a “Green” Data Center Project

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Kazakhstan have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at attracting investments to construct a “green” data center in the Almaty region over the next three years.

On behalf of KazNU, the memorandum was signed by Margulan Ibraimov, Member of the Board and Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovative Activities, who emphasized the project’s strategic importance for the development of renewable energy and digital infrastructure in Kazakhstan.

Bohan Fu, Secretary General of the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and a KazNU alumnus, highlighted the importance of integrating modern technologies into the green energy sector and expressed confidence that this collaboration would contribute to the country’s sustainable development.
