Seminar on «Effective Use of Generative AI» Held.

The Faculty of Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence hosted a seminar on “Effective Use of Generative AI”, attended by faculty members, professors, doctoral students, and young researchers.

Opening the seminar, Vice Dean for Research and International Cooperation Nurbol Beisov highlighted that developing competencies in artificial intelligence is one of the university’s top priorities.

Senior Lecturer Talshyn Sarsembayeva delivered a presentation on “Artificial Intelligence: Concept, Legal Frameworks, and Data Protection”, emphasizing that responsibility and integrity are key principles when using AI:

“We must learn to use artificial intelligence without violating human rights and while maintaining academic integrity. Only then can technology bring real benefits to society.”

Additionally, Senior Lecturer Asel Ospan discussed the technical aspects of AI, noting that large language models and transformers form the foundation of modern AI systems. The seminar also explored the potential of generative AI in education and scientific research.
