A series of guest lectures for students of the Kyrgyz National University named after J. Balasagyn has started

On November 4, 2025, a series of guest lectures for students of the Kyrgyz National University named after J. Balasagyn officially started. The lectures are held as part of the Cooperation Agreement between Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Kyrgyz National University named after J. Balasagyn (https://www.knu.kg/ky/ru/), as well as within the framework of the academic mobility program using distance learning technologies. The series on the discipline “Insurance” will continue from November 4 to November 12, 2025.

The first lecture, titled “Compulsory Civil Liability Insurance”, took place on November 4 and was delivered by Rysty Bozmanaevna Sartova, PhD in Economics, Acting Professor, and Head of the Department of Finance and Accounting of the Higher School of Economics and Business at Al-Farabi KazNU.

During the lecture, Dr. Sartova provided a detailed overview of the principles and characteristics of compulsory civil liability insurance, its current development trends in the Republic of Kazakhstan, regulatory framework, and international practices in this area.
“Such meetings not only expand students’ professional knowledge but also contribute to their involvement in the international educational environment,” noted Dr. Sartova.

Dr. Aiganysh Sayakbayeva, Doctor of Economics and Professor of the Department, and Assoc. Prof. Roza Sekieva, PhD in Economics and Head of the Department of Finance at the Higher School of Economics of Kyrgyz National University, emphasized the importance of inter-university cooperation: “We highly value our collaboration with Al-Farabi KazNU. These lectures help students gain a deeper understanding of the practical aspects of financial disciplines and develop intercultural professional competencies,” they noted.

The guest lecture was held in a warm and productive atmosphere, marking another important step in strengthening partnership ties between the universities and promoting students’ academic mobility.
