Abai’s Legacy and Modern Education: Book Club Meeting

Under the guidance of A.K. Zholdubaeva and M.R. Baltymova, doctoral student of the 2nd year of the “Cultural Studies” educational program, Tursynbayeva Karlygash held a book club meeting at the “Alatau Creative Hub” library.

The event was held within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals, direction No. 4 – “Quality Education.” The organizer was the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science, Department of Religious Studies and Cultural Studies.

The discussion was dedicated to the 180th anniversary of Abai Kunanbayuly. During the meeting, one of his works from the “Kara Sozder” heritage was examined, revealing the author’s ideas about the importance of knowledge, personal development, and educational culture. Participants discussed modern interpretations of Abai’s ideas and possible approaches to integrating them into today’s educational process.
