On November 5, 2025, at the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science, Department of Religious Studies and Cultural Studies, a meeting was held with Kuanish Toksanbayev Abishev, an imam of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan (SUMK), a specialist at the Counseling and Rehabilitation Center under the Department of Religious Affairs of Almaty, an Islamic scholar, and a religious studies expert.
The meeting was held within the framework of Sustainable Development Goal 8 – “Decent Work and Economic Growth.” The purpose of the event was to discuss the significance of the profession in society, pathways for professional development and achieving success, as well as to identify the contribution of religious studies and Islamic studies to achieving sustainable development goals. Students and young researchers had the opportunity to exchange views with the expert and receive practical recommendations.

Satershinov, Senior Lecturer, PhD N. Mukan, PhD, Associate Professor M.R. Baltymova, with the participation of 2nd-year graduate students of the “Islamic Studies” and “Religious Studies” programs Zh.
