Within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a doctoral student of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held an event at a center for visually impaired people
On November 5, 2025, as part of implementing the SDG goal “Reducing Inequality,” Nurbol Nurtazauly Bolysbekov, a 2nd-year doctoral student in Cultural Studies at the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, together with his scientific supervisor, Nurlikhan Kozhabergenkyzy Aldzhanova, organized an event at a center for the blind and visually impaired.The purpose of the event was to learn more about the lives, social adaptation, and creative abilities of people with disabilities, as well as to draw attention to the importance of creating an inclusive environment in society.During the meeting, the doctoral students exchanged views with the center’s staff and residents, learning about their daily challenges and achievements. Participants also got acquainted with the visually impaired individuals’ computer and creative work, and expressed proposals to support several social projects.The organizing doctoral student emphasized that such meetings make a significant contribution to strengthening the culture of compassion and mutual understanding in society.
