“Russian / English Club: Student to Student”
On November 5, 2025, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Renaissance Educational University jointly hosted an online event on the topic: “Russian / English Club: Student to Student.”
Opening remarks were delivered by:
- Saule Bayazovna Begalieva, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Research Professor of the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature, Director of the “Russian Language and Culture” Center;
- Alyona Sergeevna Demchenko, PhD, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature;
- Araylym Bakanovna Abylkassova, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Foreign Languages, Faculty of Philology, as well as representatives of the Renaissance University.
The event brought together faculty members:
1. Saule Bayazovna Begalieva, Doctor of Pedagogics, Professor, Research Professor in the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature, Director of the Russian Language and Culture Center at the Faculty of Philology.
2. Alena Sergeevna Demchenko, PhD, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature at the Faculty of Philology.
3. Saule Temirbaena Isalieva, Doctor of Sociological Sciences, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature at the Faculty of Philology.
4. Kuralay Omirlanovna Tattimbetova, PhD, Assistant Professor in the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature at the Faculty of Philology, Project Executive.
5. Arailym Bakanovna Abylkasova, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Foreign Languages at the Faculty of Philology.
6. Mombekova Nurbakyt Bodauhanovna – Senior Lecturer of English, Department of Foreign Languages, Faculty of Philology.

Renaissance Educational University:

and student teams “Grammarians,” “Wordsmiths,” “Team,” “Phoenix,” and “Stars.”
The main session focused on UN Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education, where students presented in English about education systems in various countries. An interactive quiz, “Ziyatker Saiysy,” was hosted by Araylym Bakanovna Abylkassova.
The meeting concluded with group presentations on “Common Historical Roots of the Kazakh and Uzbek Peoples.”
Projects were evaluated by a joint jury from both universities.
The event ended with awards, reflection, and a group photo session.
