Training Seminar on the IPR SMART Platform Held at the Faculty of Physics and Technology, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (SDG 4 & SDG 9)

On November 6, 2025, the Faculty of Physics and Technology at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted a training seminar on the IPR SMART platform, organized by the publishing house “EDP Hub” with the participation of Seit Anarkhan.

The purpose of the event was to familiarize faculty members and students with the capabilities of the modern educational resource IPR SMART, which provides electronic access to over 100,000 educational, scientific, methodological, and periodical publications. The platform enables efficient search, reading, and interaction with materials for academic and research purposes, thereby enhancing digital literacy and research culture among university learners.

During the seminar, participants learned:

• how to access the IPR SMART system through the university network;

• how to effectively use search and personal account functions;

• how to integrate the platform’s resources into the educational and research process.

Such initiatives contribute to strengthening the digital competencies of faculty and students, expanding academic mobility, and promoting open access to knowledge.

The seminar aligns with the principles of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) No.4 “Quality Education” and SDG No.9 “Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure,” aimed at fostering an innovative educational environment and supporting research development in the context of digital transformation.
