We Honor and Remember the Heroes!
At the Military Department of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, a patriotic campaign titled “We Honor and Remember the Heroes!” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Aliya Moldagulova was held in accordance with the military-patriotic work plan.
October 25, 2025 marked the 100th anniversary of the birth of Aliya Moldagulova, the glorious daughter of our people and a Hero of the Soviet Union.
As part of the patriotic campaign, a series of military-patriotic events was conducted. Throughout October, thematic discussions were held with students, and documentary films about Aliya Moldagulova were organized for viewing.
From November 1 to 6, a Courage Lesson titled “Aliya's Feat!” was held with all training platoons and senior students of Secondary School No. 97 in Almaty’s Auezov district. Students and schoolchildren learned about the biography and combat exploits of Aliya Moldagulova, and also viewed an exhibition of documentary and fiction literature.
On November 10, 2025, a competition titled “In Aliya's Footsteps!” was held among female students of the Military Department as the final stage of the patriotic campaign. Two teams of girls from the Special Troops Cycle and the Educational and Ideological Work Cycle competed in the following stages: drill elements, fire training – shooting in an interactive laser shooting range, disassembly and assembly of an assault rifle, presentation of essay-presentations, and performance of creative numbers dedicated to Aliya Moldagulova, as well as a demonstration and narrative about modern military equipment and uniforms.
Summarizing the event, the Head of the Military Department, Reserve Colonel Oleg Vali-Akhmetovich Azhimov, noted that the goal of the patriotic campaign was to educate Kazakhstani patriotism, loyalty, and love for the Motherland in student and school youth, based on the heroic history of our country and the contribution of Kazakhstanis to the victory in the Great Patriotic War.
