Macroeconomic Cycle and Business Strategy: Students’ Practical Analysis
Within the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 8 (“Sustained Economic Growth and Employment”) and 9 (“Industrialization, Innovation and Infrastructure”), a group-based analytical session on the topic “Macroeconomic Cycle and Business Strategy” was held for students.
During the session, participants analyzed the performance of Kaspi.kz, Alel Agro, Galanz Bottlers, and Rakhat JSC during periods of economic expansion, recession, and recovery, and proposed business adaptation strategies aligned with the macroeconomic cycle.
Using real financial indicators and market data, student groups assessed the cyclical resilience of the companies and defended their results through presentations.
Such practice-oriented sessions enhance students’ analytical thinking, data-handling skills, and the ability to justify economic decisions.
