University-Wide Cleanup Day Held at KazNU. SDG 15 – Life on Land
A traditional university-wide cleanup day was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The main purpose of the event was to improve the campus area, promote environmental awareness, and engage students in community-oriented activities.
The cleanup was led by senior lecturers of the Department of Plasma Physics, Nanotechnology and Computer Physics, A.I. Kenzhebekova and A.U. Amrenova. Together with 2nd–3rd year students of the educational program “6B07107 – Electrical Power Engineering”, they took part in cleaning the university grounds, maintaining green areas, and contributing to landscaping efforts.
Students and faculty worked together to collect and remove waste, care for trees and lawns, and ensure cleanliness around academic buildings. The event aimed to enhance students’ environmental responsibility, strengthen teamwork, and maintain a clean and comfortable university environment.
The cleanup day was successfully organized, and participants demonstrated high activity and enthusiasm. Such events are an important part of KazNU’s ongoing efforts to promote environmental culture and develop students’ social responsibility.
