The Olympiad is an important platform for the integration of universities and the IT industry. It develops algorithmic thinking, complex problem solving skills, and effective teamwork.

The ICPC season consists of regional selections, sub-regional finals, and a world final. Thousands of teams from hundreds of universities participate in the competition, and only the 100-150 strongest get the right to compete for a place in the world finals.

Six teams from the faculty performed. One of them successfully completed the quarterfinals and got a ticket to the semifinals. This achievement confirms the high level of students' training, their algorithmic thinking and the ability to work effectively in a team.  The following players reached the semifinals: Asuov Daulet, Khamzin Daulet, Ermek Nurbakyt.
