On November 26, 2025, at 11.00-12:50 a.m. at 519  classroom of GUK-6, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor Shoinbekova S.A., Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Atabayeva S.D., Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Kenzhebaeva S.S. as part of the implementation SDG – 2 programs, while studying the discipline: «Applied Enzymology», a lecture was held with 3rd year students of the specialty «06B05103 – Biotechnology» on the topic: «The contribution of enzymology to solving the problem of eliminating hunger, ensuring food safety and improving their quality, as well as assistance for sustainable agricultural development».

The purpose of the event: To explain to students the possibilities of applying the achievements of biotechnology and enzymology in solving the problems of eliminating hunger, ensuring food safety and improving their quality, as well as sustainable agricultural development.

The opening speech was delivered by Dr. Shoinbekova S.A., Professor of Chemistry.Then the students' reports were heard: «The problem of Hunger, the search for its solution», «The possibilities of enzymology in solving the problem of eliminating Hunger », «The use of enzymes in waste-free food production», «Enzymology in solving the problems of the Agro-industrial complex of the countries», «The contribution of enzymology to obtaining organic and GMO products in solving the problems of eliminating hunger». The students discussed with great interest the prospects for the development of agriculture, biotechnology, enzymology, noting the problems that exist today, discussed the problems of shortage of clean water, the feasibility of creating and using GMOs, safe chemical plant protection products, etc. There was an active discussion.
