On March 5, 2026, a seminar entitled “Introduction to the Rules for Using Artificial Intelligence (AI) Bots and Training in Their Use” was held at the Department of Botany and Agroecology of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology. The seminar was attended by 24 members of the department’s academic staff. The purpose of the seminar was to improve the educational and methodological комплекxes of academic disciplines used in the teaching process through the use of artificial intelligence (AI) applications, as well as to introduce different types of AI.

During the seminar, explanatory work was carried out on how to work with AI bots and how to apply their various types in the educational process. It was discussed that special attention should be paid to the design and development of syllabi, short lecture notes, lecture presentations, laboratory and seminar materials, students’ independent work assignments, and criterion-based assessment rubrics in accordance with modern educational standards so that students can more easily master the learning materials.

It was recommended to use AI bots to develop tasks aimed at fostering students’ analytical and critical thinking skills. In addition, special emphasis was placed on the need to ensure individualized assessment of students’ learning outcomes when developing criterion-based assessment rubrics.

The advantages and disadvantages of using GenAI generative artificial intelligence bots (Gemini, Genspark AU, KIMI, ChatGPT, Gamma App) in preparing syllabi, short lecture notes, lecture presentations, laboratory and seminar materials, students’ independent work assignments, and criterion-based assessment rubrics were also discussed.

As a result of the seminar, it was recommended to develop and implement educational and methodological complexes of disciplines using AI applications, as well as to apply GenAI generative artificial intelligence bots (Gemini, Genspark AU, KIMI, ChatGPT, Gamma App) in the educational process.

The department’s academic staff were also informed that in the event of any dispute or conflict, they should respond promptly and clearly in accordance with the unified standards of the university’s Ethics Committee.

Within the framework of the second track, “Academic Management and Quality of Education: An Intensive for Leaders and Teachers,” the results of completing a master class on the creation and integration of AI bots in various aspects of the educational process were presented at an expert strategic session by N.Z. Akhtayeva, S.T. Nazarbekova, A.Zh. Childibayeva, T.B. Rysqali, A.A. Tastanbekova, and A.E. Nurmanbek.
