The search strategy for a writer and translator in the conditions of independent Kazakhsta

On Novmber 11 2021, at 12 p.m.    Doctor of Philology, professor, member of the Union of Writers of the Republic of Kazakhstan, translator Zhaksylykov A.Zh, delivered a leadership lecture on ZOOM platform. He spoke about his scientific, literary and translation activities over the past 30 years in the conditions of the formation of independent Kazakhstan. First, he drew the attention of the audience to the fact that over 30 years there has been a strengthening of the state system in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the acceleration of development in a number of socio-economic, political, civilizational parameters. Kazakhstan has entered the path of sustainable development. According to the speaker, this is the main condition for the Independence of Kazakhstan in the future, since it is sustainable development that means that the republic, its people, achieve all its goals, especially the creation of civil society based on universal human democratic values. The speaker with assurance that this goal will be achieved, since sustainable development has gained a certain power in spite of a pandemic and global crisis. Then the speaker dwelt on the analysis of the results achieved by him in the process of literary and translation work over these thirty years. He expressed the idea that the modern conditions of continuous society reforming and difficult, sometimes extreme challenges of the era (pandemic, world crisis), requires from the writer to be mobilized for prompt and timely creative work, to be in a constant search for latest, socially significant topics. The writer should have clear mind, good memory, information coverage, a well-thought-out creative strategy, a heightened sense of the word. In other words, the writer should work hard in the field of self-development and self-improvement. Summing up his work, he said that over thirty years of creative work he had written and published more than 300 scientific works, including monographs, textbooks, books, a novel series of five books "Dreams of the Damned", the fourth book of this series "House of the Meerkat ”is now published in the magazine“ Prostor ”, as well as translations of novels, short stories and stories by more than twenty Kazakh writers, including the trilogy by S. Elubai“ Lonely Yurt ”. At the end of the lecture, Zhaksylykov A.Zh. thanked the audience for their attention.
